Axebay allows you to block other members from sending
you messages and bidding on your items.
You may want to block another member if :
- They are sending you unsolicited messages
(messages offering their items to you).
- They are sending you abusive messages.
- They are sending you insulting messages.
- They are sending you vulgar or obscene messages.
- They have previously won your item at auction and
not paid.
If you block a member from sending you messages you
also automatically block them from bidding on any of your items. Conversely if
you block a member from bidding on your items you also automatically block them
from sending you messages.
When a blocked member tries to message you or bid on any of your items they will
receive a message telling them “Sorry, this member has blocked you from bidding
on their items and sending them messages.”
To block a member :
- Go to My Axebay -> Account and select
“Buyer/Bidder Management” from the “My Account” menu on the left hand side
of the page.
- Enter the member’s user id
- Click the “Add to list” button
To View blocked members :
Go to My Axebay -> Account and select “Buyer/Bidder Management” from the “My
Account” menu on the left hand side of the page. Members you have blocked appear
in the block list.
To unblock a member :
- Go to My Axebay -> Account and select
“Buyer/Bidder Management” from the “My Account” menu on the left hand side
of the page.
- Click on the member’s user id in block list
- Click the “Remove” button
The member is now free to send you messages and bid on
your items. You may want to let the member know that you have unblocked them.
