Activity
When you first go to My Axebay you will be presented with the Activity screen in summary mode where you can view items you are watching, items you are bidding on, items you have won at auction and your advertisements.

Watching
You can watch items by clicking on the watch item icon on the display ad for that item. Then you can watch the item in My Axebay -> Activity to determine when you should bid on the item.

The Watching section contains information for the Highest Bidder, Number of Bids, Price, Shipping and Time Left for the ad. Bids may be appear as a “-“ if the item you are watching is not being auctioned and the price will be the highest bid if the item is being auctioned.

You can compare up to four items at a time from your watch list by clicking the checkbox next to the item and clicking compare. This is useful if you are trying to make a decision on which item you wish to purchase. If you click the remove button on the compare screen it will remove that item from the comparison not from the watch list.

To remove an item from you watch list click on the checkbox next to the item you wish to remove and click the delete button.

Bidding
When you bid on an auction the item on which you placed your bid will automatically appear in the bidding section of My Axebay -> Activity. If you are out bid you simply click on the title of the auction under bidding to display the auction advertisement where you can increase your bid.

In the Bidding section you can see the Item Details, Highest Bidder, Bids, Highest Bid, Shipping and Time Left for the auction.

You can compare up to four items at a time from your bidding list by clicking the checkbox next to the item and clicking compare. This is useful if you are trying to make a decision on which item you wish increase your bid. If you click the remove button on the compare screen it will remove that item from the comparison not from the bid list.

Won
Any items you have won at auction will appear under the Won section for 45 days.

Active Selling
Any items you have advertised will appear under Active Selling including both standard ads and auctions. You can also see the number of bids, price (highest bid if the item is being auctioned), Shipping and Time Left.

If you click on the title of your ad the ad will be displayed. You can then click on the “Edit this Ad” button to edit your advertisement. Please note for auctions you cannot edit the reserve price, starting bid or the time limit.

My Axebay Menu
On the RHS of the page you will see the My Axebay menu. The menu is separated into three sections. You can get back to the summary page at any time by clicking on the Summary link in this menu.

Buying allows you to access your watched, bid and won items. You can also see any items that you did not win.

Selling allows you a closer look at your advertisements. If you click on Advertising you will get a list of all your advertisements separated into standard advertisements and auctions. You can click on the title of any ad to display it or you can edit your ads by clicking on the edit button, mark an item as sold (standard ads only) and re-run an auction if it has expired and not sold. See Marking a Product as Sold and Auctioning Your Items.

The sold menu option lists any items you have sold for 45 days.

Organize menu option lets you view your favorite sellers. To add a seller as a favorite seller, click the Add to Favorite Sellers link under the Meet the Seller menu on the RHS of any advertisement.

Shortcuts Menu
From the shortcuts menu you can access your PayPal account, go to the ratings page, report an unpaid item and report an item not received.

PayPal link will take you to the PayPal home page.

Ratings link will take you to the ratings page where you can check your rating and rate other members if you have any items awaiting ratings – Please see the How to Rate Members document and the Ratings guide for further information.

Report an Unpaid Item link will allow you to create an Unpaid Item Dispute. Please see the How to Report an Unpaid Item help document for further information.

Report an Item not Received link will allow you to create an Item not Received dispute. Please see How to Report an Item not Received guide for further information.

Messages

Account
The initial account page gives you summary information on how to sell, a link to PayPal and a link to the ratings page. On the LHS of the page there is a My Account menu with the following options:

Personal Information
Use this page to change your personal information like:

• Your picture
• Your password
• Your secret question
• Your email address
• Your mailing address
• Your phone and mobile numbers

This page also contains:

• Your user id
• Your account type
• Your account expiration (or when you will be re-billed)
• Your remaining account credit
• Your account time remaining (time when you will be re-billed)

Note: Your Account Credit Remaining is your membership fee in total credit less any credit deducted for ads placed. For example if you are a gold member and you have placed two small ads your Account Credit Remaining would be $10 USD; $20 USD credit for paying your membership less $5 USD for each ad.

Addresses
This is a quick link to the change address page.

Ratings
On the ratings page you can see your buyer and seller rating and any outstanding transactions to be rated. Please see the How to Rate Members help document for further information.

Preferences
On this page you can set all your Axebay preferences.

Under General Preferences you can choose:'

• the time format to be displayed
• whether to remain logged in on your pc

Under Delivery Options you can choose:

• Your preferred email format
• Whether to receive an email reminder that you have a new message

You can also change your email address.

Under Promotion and Surveys you can choose which promotions and surveys you would like to participate in.

My Wish List
If you are a gold or platinum member you can create a wish list of items you want but are not currently available on Axebay. For example you may be looking to purchase a particular guitar such as 1958 Les Paul Gold Top, you can enter the details of this guitar on your wish list. As soon as a guitar that matches the entry on your wish list becomes available you will be notified by Axebay messaging, giving you the first chance to purchase that item.

It’s easy to add an item to your wish list, simply fill in the fields of category, sub-category, brand and model. Keywords are a comma delimited list which describes the item you want. In the previous example we used 1958 Les Paul Gold Top; the table below depicts a wish list entry for that item.

Note: All fields are case insensitive.

Close My Account
If you really want to close your account, go to My Axebay -> Account and click on the Close My Account link under the My Account on the LHS of the page. We really hate to see you go and we want to know why you are leaving. If you patiently fill in the forms on the next few pages we may be able to resolve any concerns that you have or your comments may help us to make Axebay.com a better site in the future.
On the first page please select the appropriate reason that you wish to close your account. If you cannot find your reason on the list pick something as close as possible. On the next page you can give an expanded reason for your departure. We then offer you some suggestions that may alleviate any problems that you have and you have the option to change your mind. Then finally we check with you for the last time if you really want to close your account.

If you finally decide to close your account you will have access to your account for the remainder of your billing month. Axebay will cancel your subscription and notify you by email.

Buyer / Bidder Management
Buyer / Bidder management allows you block other members from bidding on your items and sending you messages. Please see the Blocking Members help document for further information.
