At Axebay we want to ensure the safest and most enjoyable trading experience
possible. Part of this experience is being able to trust those with whom you
transact. We don’t want a complete feedback system which is open to abuse from
members, like some other web sites. We have endeavored to keep our rating system
simple.
Rating another member is optional; however, it does help to keep Axebay a more
secure and reliable site to buy and sell. Axebay has two ratings; one for a
seller and one for a buyer. We have devised two simple questionnaires for our
rating system, again, one for the seller and one for the buyer.
You can only rate a buyer or seller if you have participated in a transaction
with them. This is to protect the buyer and seller from slander or abuse.
The
rating system
consists of a number from 1 to 5:
- 5 - excellent
- 4 - very good
- 3 - good
- 2 - fair
- 1 - poor
This number is averaged out from all the questions on all the questionnaires
filled in for a member. A rating of 0 simply means that that particular member
has not yet been rated. If a member has a rating of 2 or less you may want to
contact them and get to know them before trading with them.
We ask that when you fill in the rating questionnaire that you be objective and
not overly harsh, be nice but honest.
How to view a member’s rating
- You can view a member’s rating from any ad listing. On the right hand side of
the ad listing page you will see the seller’s name and two numbers, the first
number is their buyer rating and the second number is their seller rating.
- You can also view a member’s rating by going to My Axebay -> Messaging and
clicking on the “Find & Contact a Member” link from the Contacts menu on the
left hand side of the page.
- Enter the member’s user id or partial user id
- Click the “Search” button
- Information about the member is displayed including their rating.
How to find your own rating
To find your own rating, go to My Axebay -> Account and select “Ratings” from
the “My Account” menu on the left hand side of the page.
On this page you will see:
- Your buyer and selling rating (at the top immediately under the word “Ratings”)
- Items awaiting ratings.
- Recent ratings for transactions you have been involved with.
Note:
Recent ratings and items awaiting ratings will remain displayed for 14
days after your listing has expired. For example if you sell your item on the
first day of listing, the rating information will be viewable for 45 days. If
you sell the item on the last day of its billable month the ratings will be
viewable for 14 days.
