This checklist will
help you prepare to sell your product.
P Task
¥ Note the
condition of the product
Firstly clean the product and then look for any
flaws, wear, marks or damage. These should be
noted if they are obvious particularly for
guitars. Decide if any of these flaws or marks
would devalue the product and if it needs
repair.
¥ Take
photographs of the product
It is necessary to have at least one good
picture of the product you are selling. For
guitars Axebay recommends three pictures, full
length pic of the front of the guitar, full
length pic of the back of the guitar and maybe a
close up of the body or head stock. Of course
you will have to purchase a large ad for this.
¥ Write a title,
subtitle and description for your advertisement
The title is very important and a buyer should
have a good indication of what the product is
from the title. If selling a guitar you may want
to put the year of manufacture in the title or
subtitle.
The subtitle should expand upon the title giving
the buyer a little more information.
The brand and model are also particularly
important especially for guitars.
The description should accurately describe the
product.
There is no need to
worry about keywords or keywords in the title
etc as Axebay searches all wording of an ad when
a member does a search for a particular word.
¥
Research your
product
Research your product on the internet, through
magazines or even at your local music store to
determine a fair market price for your product.
Remember your product is only worth what someone
will pay for it.
¥
Pack, weigh
and measure your product
If you are going to be shipping your product you
should pack it first before weighing and
measuring it so you can accurately
calculate shipping costs.
You can use our calculate shipping costs link to
do the calculation or contact transport
companies yourself.
Now you are
ready to sell your guitar or guitar related
product!
